Accommodation:
Hout Bay Manor, has 19 rooms and suites designed in a fancy and creative style with a clever mix between raw and refined materials. The eye catches the sight of the soft light reflecting on the exotic wood, the use of ethnic and cotton fabrics and ivory and bronze shades. A Victorian-style bathtub on feet thrones opposite of the bed; the severity of a Dutch cabinet in contrast with the bohemian chandeliers and Venetian mirrors; animal skin carpet, and an industrial chromium bedside lamp... - Sotho Rooms : double rooms with private garden and outdoor shower - Xhosa Rooms: double rooms on the second floor with mountain view - Zulu Rooms: double rooms with views of garden and swimming pool - Sangoma Suites: 2 luxury communicating rooms with balcony and separate entrance, overlooking the garden and swimming pool
Restaurant:
Nestled in a pavilion that once housed the old stables of the mansion, the hotels’ restaurant, Le Pure, unveils its ivory, wood and bronze tones, while the floor is a subtle mix of wood and granite paving stones. A pure delight for the taste buds, Le Pure, shows the passion of chef Alexander Mueller for a creative and gourmet cuisine where different gastronomic cultures meet : French, English, Asian and Dutch. On the menu, the fresh catch of the day of the warm Indian Ocean waters and the cold currents of the Atlantic: marinated salmon and Snoek brandade, Lobster Carpaccio accompanied by a mojito sorbet, Antelope with red cabbage ravioli.
Activities:
Seaside resort “en vogue”, the village of Hout Bay has many restaurants, cafes and boutiques. The hotel organises a variety of excursions: the panoramic road from Chapman's Peak Drive to Noordhoek, the Cape of Good Hope, the Botanical Gardens of Table Mountain or a trip through the vineyards of the Cape. Just a couple of kilometres away from the hotel, the small village of Hermanus on the Indian Ocean is renowned for whales watching. You can also visit the colony of penguins of Simon's Town.
