From the moment you step into the lobby you will appreciate the atmosphere of a discrete luxury home, with Empire furniture by Edgar Brandt... And the service, led by the smiling English general manager, Martin Hale, is without fault. In the suites, the fireplaces are not merely objects of decoration, but can be lit for you at a moment's notice, quite unique in New York. The choice of fabrics, the immense beds, the reading corner, the private fax with personal number to guarantee the confidentiality of your conversations... Each detail is well thought out.
Another first for the hotel : on the twelfth floor you will find the Gym Suite, specially equipped for Madonna when she was a guest, to stay in shape following her break-up with Sean Penn. The Hollywood Suite, with its Ralph Lauren mirrors and vases, as well as some state of the art home cinema equipment, is decorated with authentic souvenirs of the silver screen purchased from Christie's. As for the Garden Suite, it is special not only for its elegant decor, but also because of its two delightful terraces, where an al fresco breakfast is obligatory on a fine day !
