Raffles Resort Canouan Island

Between the Tropic of Cancer and the Equator, Saint Vincent Island and Granada, Canouan Island is nestled in the heart of the Grenadines islands. With its coconut tree-lined white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, Canouan is heaven on earth for sail lovers, but also an ideal diving spot encircled by a large coral reef. In spite of a boom in tourism, Canouan has managed to preserve its authentic charm by favouring upscale tourism as offered by the Raffles Resort. The dry season (from December to May) is perfect for basking in the sun in the middle of winter. Canouan's small airport allows for easy connection with the main neighbouring airports (Martinique, St Lucie, Granada, St Vincent, etc). The hotel, which opened its doors in July 2004, is equipped with a "Donald Trump" 18-hole golf course designed by Jim Fazio.

Accommodation :
From your arrival at the airport, you will be looked after by the Raffles staff, who bring you by catamaran to the hotel's barge. Meanwhile, your luggage will be delivered directly to your room before you arrive.
The resort consists of 156 spacious rooms with private patios or terraces furnished with comfortable lounge chairs and wonderful views overlooking the beach and sea.
The suites have up to 4 rooms with a kitchenette. One suite features a private pool.
The building's style is inspired by the Raffles' in Singapore, the mythic first hotel of the chain. The exterior bright colours reflect the local houses, and contrast with sober wooden furniture in the bedrooms. Every room is equipped with the latest technology. A stay in the hotel enables access to the golf course (however the green fee is not included).
A 19th-century church, brought to the island stone by stone from England at the end of the last century, has been lovingly restored and can be found at the centre of the resort. A luxury honeymoon package is proposed...

Restaurants :
- Located at the villa Monte-Carlo, La Varenne offers European gourmet cuisine, and the finest selection of Raffles caviar, wines and champagnes.
